NOOOOOOO!!!

My hard drive crashed on my editing/production PC earlier this week.

I lost about eight years worth of work. All gone. So unlike me. I thought it was all saved, I was wrong. (Sick feeling in gut) It’s all work that’s been posted, but still …. All of that resource material, videos, photos etc … gone.

So … I’ve been scrambling, putting a new hard drive in, and everything all back together.

AHHHHHHHHHKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!

Anyway, that’s where I’m at. Almost all done now. I hope everyone’s week was better than mine 🙂

Put it all back together. I never see anything, except your demonstrations are what put me over the line in belief of giant forest primates.
I have been studying versions of early man, to see where these creatures fit. It seems they may be an early alternative branch of Neanderthal, that decided to evolve with nature, instead of against. Also, they could be evolved Australopithecines, considering the cranial ridges.

It seems like somebody is bound to be able to get in! That is a lot of work to lose that would cause the weak to bite the big one! I have in the past lost 8 hours of work when the power suddenly went off and my old version of Photoshop does not auto-save (& stupid me didn’t either that day). Man I couldn’t imagine what you must be experiencing and my heart goes out to you!

On another note and what brings me here is my new Bigfoot directory website called Show Me Bigfoot (.com). I wanted to let you know you are listed on the “T” page and if you have any more links I should list please let me know and I’ll put them up. There is a contact page (Connect) to do that on. Also I would like to discuss a few related issues if possible.

Note: Later today I’m moving it to a different platform that will make it even better/safer, but may have the site down for a few hours as I do the migration. Should be good to go by the evening 24th if not sooner.

    Good luck with your dilemma!
    Thanks, Gary

What a bummer. Hey TT, I’m wondering what you made of the Claudia Ackerly video? Might be a good subject for an upcoming vid. I just saw her with Mattsquatch at the site of the interaction and, well, it was a huge Sasquatch by my reckoning. X

So sorry to hear that. We are with you and remember that the work you lost has inspired thousands of people. You have a following that repect the work you do. Keep it up TT. X

Take it to a place that does recovery. I once had a similar thing happen but to my dissertation. Thank god for it nerds. They are unsung heroes. They recovered 80% of my files.

We’re pullin’ for ya, man! Genuine interest in your life’s work and eager for more. One word: backup.

BTW, the video downlad helper for Firefox will enable you to download all your vids from Youtube to re-save.

Im sorry, but software is my business, so I have a question and a reminder. Did you know that the first thing to fail on a computer is the harddrive? it was going to happen sooner or later. Next, you have been working like a real man! real men don’t do back up and real men cry. So instead, look ahead and think about all the awesome videos you are going to make us.

I had the same thing happen to me, while working on brightening up a video which involved some strange colored lights in a dense pine grove out in the middle of a forest. My buddy shot it and asked me to try to see what the lights were… As far as I could tell, they weren’t flashlights and to big and bright to be bugs. Mostly Green and Blue in color and moving around the trees like the fabled wisps. Nothing like a sudden power outage and then when it comes back on, your computer makes a funny smell and won’t start back up. I had gotten the video brightened enough to see a ways into the trees but nothing was moving around below or above the light sources that I could see, that is before the suddenly power outage. And no the light sources were not moving in unison so it wasn’t a craft or anything like that, they were moving separate from each other like fire flies do, just these were like the size of the big red playground balls. Same friend recorded it as the Boston Ufo’s on my Youtube channel.

    Dude, that sucks!
I know your pain. I just started a new apprenticeship/ job. The first week or so my Macbook Pro hard drive crashed, my car started having issues, and someone smashes the windows to break into my car!

Keep on keeping on I guess.

Looking forward to your next video. Take your time ?.

Thanks to all for your support and suggestions! I rebuilt my editing PC, all is well now. I’ve even got a new video out! So life here with the new site and new PC is feeling … smooth. And smooth is good 🙂

    Hi TT,

I have to say as a computer technician, your site is way crazy. But I do not like normality so we should be good.

I can recover data from hard drives, have you found a resolution for your old drive and do you have a contingency plan for the new hard drive?

I’d like to help where I can

    Regards,

    V

Tsk, Tsk..you now better, my friend.

As did I, when it happened to me and I lost my entire music production catalog from 2005 to 2012..

Rebuild, reboot. Out with the old, in with the new!

Crashed drives can often be restored- partially or fully -given the nature and manpower of what was on there I would look into it.

There are national companies that can do this.
